About Mark Mosher
BIO
I am an electronic musician, composer, and recording artist. I have been working with synthesizers since the inception of MIDI in 1983 (gasp!) and I live and work in Louisville Colorado just outside of Boulder.
I played synth and sang professionally for the local Colorado Springs band Head Full of Zombies from 1989-2003. I loved performing with the band which was voted best band in Colorado Springs multiple times over the years. The band had an amazing and devoted group of fans who were great to play for.
In 2002 I moved behind the scenes to professionally score soundtracks and sound design cues for commercials, multimedia, and film. My song "Flight" appears as a special feature on the DVD for the film One Six Right. The song is also included bonus track the Soundtrack of the film.
In 2003 & 2004, I had the opportunity to combine my performance experience with my digital music production knowledge to do Sound Design for the award winning theater company, UCCS Theatreworks. I created original compositions as well as sound design cues for "Inferno", "A Streetcar Named Desire", "Treasure Island", and "Ma Rainey.
After a few year break from professional performance and scoring I’m happy to announce I am releasing singles from the album REBOOT that I expect to be complete later this year. These songs are keyboard driven electronica with plenty of synth "ear candy". I write, perform, and produce songs using keyboards, drum pads, software synthesizers and Ableton Live software. One of the singles "Midnight" went to #1 on the soundclick electronica charts.
In addition to writing and playing, I love to share my experience in software-based electronic music creation with others. The move to software-based digital music creation and production has been a natural and welcome one for me. My favorite music pr`oduction software is Ableton Live. I’ve also discovered that I really enjoy blogging and I share industry news, tips, and tutorials on topics such as sequencing, programming synths, sampling, beat slicing, automation, and recording audio on my blog Modulate This! and on my YouTube channel.
