Free Music Friday: I've Made It Even Easier to Download Full Albums "Reboot" and "I Hear Your Signals" Including Liner Notes

I distribute my albums via many online stores such as iTunes, Amazon MP3, LastFM, ReverbNation, Zune, and as a Physical CD. I also distribute through a great site called Bandcamp. Bandcamp has a system that allows you to “name your price” including $0, which means you get the album for free for your personal enjoyment. The cool thing about Bandcamp is can specify format and if you download the entire album, you also get a digital booklets with liner notes.

I just did a little work on Bandcamp to remove some steps from the process so you can grab an album in just two steps:

1. Click Buy Now: Go to http://markmosher.bandcamp.com/ and click on the album cover, then click “Buy Now”.
2. Download: A dialog box will popup. Select your format, enter $0, and hit download.

Then repeat for the other album, and pass it on!

By the way, I've also placed the music from these albums under under a non-commercial, share alike license Creative Commons License so you can also use these songs in your podcasts, blogs, and video projects.

Composer Notes: The tale "Infected" vs "When Connected"

As a composer I like writing with a back-story and characters in mind. This helps me create emotional dynamics and gives the album context when you listen to it one sitting. I’m not going to give too much away as I’d rather you interpret the songs in your own way – but I will say that I Hear Your Signals is a retelling of the same story that I started in Reboot but from a different point of view.

The stories intersect at the songs "Infected" and "When Connected". I created this Soundcloud set so you could hear them back-to-back.  Listen to these two tracks a few times to see how these songs are two sides of an emotional coin. See you on the other side…

Mark Mosher's "I Hear Your Signals" and "REBOOT" Albums Now Available as Physical CDs

 

Up until now, both my new album I Hear Your Signals and my previous album REBOOT were previously only available as digital downloads. I’ve decided to release both as Physical CD’s:

1. For those who prefer having a tangible disc and liner notes
2. To provide a convenient ption for those who want to buy a gift for that hard to buy for electronic music fan
3. To accommodate selling the CDs at shows and through retail outlets

Both discs are available for immediate purhase via my online ReverbNation store here.

For each release, I’ve created a 4-panel booklet with original artwork and photography including liner notes and credits. CD’s are the same quality as those available in retail outlets with printing in full color directly on disc surfaces, booklets, and tray cards, with professional-grade jewel cases all shrink-wrapped with cellophane.
