I’ve not had much time for composition or sound design in June as I took vacation time plus I’ve been spending time integrating an Akai APC40 controller into my work flow and learning how to program a new synthesizer called Massive.
APC40
The APC40 allows me to control Ableton Live (my music production software) without having to use a mouse. This means I can compose and mix faster. It’s also a great way to control live performances. I’ve started experimenting with performance versions of some of the singles off of Reboot.
